EAT YOUR WAY TO HEALTHY BEARD (Part 1)

We spend a lot of time, money and unnecessary effort on trying to achieve that perfect beard. We are constantly trying to find new ways to speed up the growth and ensure that we get that highly coveted full beard. However, did you know that attaining this beautiful, full beard can be as easy as adding specific ingredients and nutrients into our diet?

If you haven’t read our pervious article highlighting a meal plan for a great beard then you are missing out. Click Meal Plan to a Healthy Beard to find out more.

This time, we take a look at a few things you can add into your diet to promote beard growth.

Eggs:

This protein filled food promotes both muscle growth and beard growth. So if you are in the gym trying to get those muscles popping and also trying to grow out your facial hair, then why not add this to your diet? Eggs can be cooked in so many ways as well. From fried to baked to poached. The choice is yours. It can vary from a quick fried egg on morning when you are running late to an omelette or frittata on a lazy Sunday morning when you have all the time to throw down.

Vitamin C:

Foods filled with vitamin C are also a great way to jump start or elevate beard growth. These encourage sebum production in the body which is a natural oil that helps lubricate and moisturize hair literally from the inside of you. So as you spread that beard balm and oil all over your beard in generous portions, remember that it would shine even more with some extra vitamin C in your system.

This vitamin is found in fruits and vegetables such as oranges, green peppers, almonds, spinach, mangoes, strawberries, grapefruit and so much more.

Potatoes:

Before you get excited…please note that this does not consist of having KFC all day every day. As much as potatoes are a great ingredient in your diet, they are also extremely high in carbs so this is one we have to take some precaution with.

Incorporate some baked, mashed or boiled potatoes into your meal to promote beard growth and health.
