Beard Grooming Tips

Beard grooming is one of the most important routines to maintain while trying to grow a full, healthy beard.

Grooming entails all the processes that you should incorporate in your beard care routine for your hair to get to the level that you want it to get to.

Here are 6 easy steps to help you during your grooming process.

  1. Patience pays:

This step may not be as easy for all of us. Remember that you are growing something. Things take time to grow. Even your beard.
This tip is especially for the newbies. In the first month of growing your beard, it may look a little messy and you will want to shave/trim it. Resist the urge to do this and let your hair grow for at least 4-6 weeks. This will give your hair time to grow out evenly. After this, you will have more room to shape and style your beard however you want it.
2. Get acquainted with your facial features:
You will need to take a good and long look at your face. This will allow you to know what shape suits your beard best. A full beard is the safest bet for most people; however, you may find that a stubble or goatee would look better on you specifically.
3. Wash that beard:
This is not only great for your beard but for the skin underneath it. Using a beard wash is an important part of grooming and will keep your beard looking and smelling good. It will also help to clean the skin underneath your beard to avoid beardduff (beard dandruff) and pimples so that your beard can grow well
4. Oil that beard:
Beard balm and beard oil are the most important parts of the grooming process. The list of benefits for both products is endless!
These products nourish, soften, and love your hair as well as the skin underneath it. You will be able to style your beard easily if it is moisturized.
5. Comb that beard:
We have all heard the phrase, ‘practice makes perfect’. This applies to your beard as well. The more you comb and brush your beard, the more it will grow in a downward direction giving you that coveted long, full beard.
Yes, you can train your hair to grow in the direction that you want it to.
6. Fuel up:
Eat right, exercise, repeat.
Consistency is key.
