Beards have been around since the first men. Their popularity, however, was reintroduced in the 1950s and men have been rocking them with pride since then.
From styles, length, shape and popularity, the beard has changed and evolved a lot throughout the years. So, we scoured the internet to bring you the top-rated beard styles of this year.
- The Full Beard
Can we get a little cocky for a second and point out how we always say this is the best? It’s good to know that the rest of the world agrees with us.
A full beard occurs when your beard hair fully covers your cheeks, jaw, lip and chin. It can vary in length from short or medium to long.
This is the hardest beard to grow in terms of how long it takes to grow and the commitment of maintenance, but it is worth it.
- The Goatee
Also known as the circle beard, this is formed by a chinstrap and a moustache.
This style can go from 100 to 0 quick if not properly maintained. You will need to trim your moustache often and shave your cheeks at least once a week. This is also a great style for men with longer, thinner faces.
- Boxed/Round Beard
This is a classic style and is a variation of the full beard. As the name suggests, it is formed when you trim and shape your hair in a round shape.
One of the reasons why this beard is so popular is because it is ‘one size fits all’, meaning, it looks good on all faces and the shapes and forms that they come in.
Notice how these are not new styles? These classics have remained trendy for years and will continue to stay at the top of the beard charts.
Like the right haircut, your beard shape will have a lot to do with your overall look. Choose wisely. :-)
