Back in the day, facial hair was deemed to be dirty and unprofessional. Fast forward to the 2000’s where it became more acceptable and then in the 2010’s, it gained popularity to the point where it is coveted.
Now that we are in 2024, is facial hair still in?
Yes, yes it is! And we are back with our annual guide to the most highly rated beard styles of the year.
- THE FULL BEARD (CLASSIC)
In all the years we’ve been doing this, this style stays at the top of the list. It could be because it is versatile (suits all face shapes and sizes) or because it looks so damn good!
It is definitely one of our favourites.
2. THE STUBBLE
The stubble has also stayed at the top of the charts. It is stylish and low maintenance which we know a lot of brothers are looking for in these fast paced days.
This style is described as in between a clean shave and a full beard.
FYI: According to studies, women all over the world have voted this their favourite beard on men while most men prefer to have a full beard.
3. THE SPARTAN BEARD
This is a new one to our list.
Full disclaimer, this style may have not been making the top of the list due to the fact that it is harder than most styles to grow and maintain.
It also is advised as the style for men with oval shaped faces. Men with different shaped faces will need to be a little more creative in their trimming and styling to make this work.

4. THE RAZOR SCRATCHES
This one feels more like a throwback as razor scratches have been popular for years. They have mostly been done as a hairstyle but the new trend has men doing this on their beard. This can be done on a beard of any length and will suit all shapes and sizes.
